Mercado Livre’s Black Friday
Day with the highest sales
Black Friday is the most awaited shopping event for Brazilians. Shops offer a number of discounts to mark the year-end sales season. At the same time, people take the opportunity to do some early Christmas shopping in Mercado Livre.
We were chosen by Mercado Ads to create a striking campaign aimed at brands, agencies and sellers, with the objective of communicating the great sales opportunity that exists in the N° 1 e-commerce platform in Latin America.
Paid Online Media Campaign
Given the Brazilian economic context, with price increases and lower overall consumption, we faced the challenge of having to promote the great potential of Mercado Ads’ advertising solutions to sell and buy during the most popular day of the year. We had to encourage brands, agencies and sellers to increase their investment around Black Friday without using too many concrete numbers.
What we did
Following the idea “Mercado Livre: the largest showcase in Latin America”, we developed a key visual with bright, versatile and sophisticated elements. We were inspired by the lights in shopping centres to create the visual components, using neon as the main resource. We exploited it to the full, from typography containers to advertising solutions.
Once we established the identity system, we designed communication elements with a commercial slant and striking visuals such as report, one pager, commercial pitch and social media content. This became a fundamental tool for the clients of Latin America’s N°1 Retail Media.
